Native app versus browser
The Android native app runs compiled code, so it loads faster, caches data locally, and responds instantly when you scroll through markets or place a request. Push notifications alert you when a withdrawal is approved or a football match goes live. If your internet connection drops, the UI remains responsive—you can still view your account balance and recent transactions from the local cache. The app also supports biometric login (fingerprint or face recognition on Android) if you enable two-factor authentication. iOS users can achieve similar speed using Safari bookmarks or installing the web app to the home screen. The web app loads slightly slower on first visit but automatically updates whenever we deploy new features, so you never need to manually refresh.
Device compatibility
The sportsbook Android app requires Android 7.0 or later. Older devices may not support our encryption or KYC camera. For iOS, we support iOS 12 and later on iPhone or iPad; you do not need to install from the App Store, just visit sportsbook.run in Safari. All browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) on Android 6+ or iOS 11+ can access the web version. If you own a tablet (iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab, or equivalent), the responsive layout adjusts automatically so buttons and text are readable on larger screens.
Troubleshooting installation
If the APK fails to install, check whether your device is set to allow installation from unknown sources. Go to Settings, search "Install unknown apps," and ensure the browser or file manager you used has permission. If installation completes but the app won't open, clear the app cache by going to Settings → Apps → sportsbook and tapping "Clear cache." If your device runs Android 6 or earlier, the app may not support your encryption standard; contact our support team for alternatives. On iOS, if the web app is slow, try clearing Safari cache (Settings → Safari → Clear History and Website Data). A certificate-trust warning means your device clock is out of sync; set it to automatic time in System Settings.
Mobile security and data use
The app requests permission to access your camera (for KYC photo upload), microphone (for live-dealer table audio if applicable), and phone storage (to save transaction receipts). It does not ask for access to your contacts, call history, or other apps. Location data is not used. All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption; we cannot see your password, and payment processors cannot see your sportsbook balance. When you log out, all local data is erased except your device cookies, which only store your session token (not sensitive information). We recommend using a strong password—12+ characters, mix of uppercase, lowercase, digits, and symbols—and enabling two-factor authentication immediately after account creation.
KYC verification is not optional
We are required by Indonesian financial regulations to verify your identity before processing any withdrawal. KYC usually completes within subject to verification. If your verification is delayed, contact our support team—do not attempt to re-upload or create a second account.
Why we ask for this data
Your email and phone number are used to send account notifications and withdrawal confirmations. Your full name and date of birth are matched against your identity document to prevent fraud and account takeover. Your KTP or passport number is checked against sanctions lists to comply with anti-money-laundering law. Your payment app reference (online payment ID, e-wallet number, or mobile banking scan history) is forwarded to the payment processor—banks like local payment, online payment, or e-wallet—to settle deposits and withdrawals. We do not share this data with sports leagues, betting syndicates, or marketing partners. We retain it for as long as your account is active and for 2 years after closure, then delete it permanently.
